This is your emergency pendant. This pendant should be worn at all times. It is waterproof and may be worn around your neck or your wrist. This pendant should only be pressed in an emergency or in a testing environment. Pressing this pendant will activate the two-way voice communication within the Monitoring Center. Once pressed, you will hear an AcenTek representative within seconds to assess the situation. In the event that you are unable to communicate with the representative, they will take your pre-selected procedures previously set up with your AcenTek sales representative.
It is important that you test the range of your pendant upon installation or during your weekly test. The range of your pendant will vary depending on a number of factors, such as house structure, landscaping, and obstructions. It is imperative to know and understand the range of your pendant in order to provide maximum safety.
Testing your MedAlert should be a priority to be done on a weekly basis. This will give you the comfort of knowing that your MedAlert will work properly in the event of an emergency.
Testing can be done in 3 ways:
- Press the red button on your pendant.
- Press the emergency button on your control panel.
- Press the non-emergency button on your control panel.
When testing your MedAlert, always make sure someone is near the control panel in order to respond to the AcenTek
There are a number of other products that can be implemented into your MedAlert. Such products include smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, fall detectors and panic buttons. These life-saving devices are monitored by our monitoring center and will notify the proper authorities. Additional pendants and a range extender are also available. If you have any questions or inquiries regarding any of these products, please contact our sales department at 507.896.6310 or 888.404.4940.
We will be happy to help you.
