ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB TASKS
1. 40% |
Maintains a high standard of cleanliness while performing housekeeping/janitorial tasks for all AcenTek’s Minnesota/Iowa facilities to provide safe, sanitary conditions. Tasks may include but not limited to dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, break room, meeting rooms, washing windows and emptying trash, cleaning all appliances and light fixtures, stocking and maintaining cleaning supply rooms and restrooms, and following health and safety regulations, maintaining and suppling first aid and blood borne pathogen kits, assisting with setup and tear down of special luncheons and meetings; and identifying unsafe working conditions, poor products and improper service procedures in facilities, and report them to supervisor with potential solutions. Monitored by the Warehouse Maintenance Supervisor by direct observation, verbal communication. |
2. 30% |
Maintains and organizes warehouse and materials for the purpose of ensuring all materials are available as needed. Tasks may include but not limited to accepting, verifying, inspecting, and recording all deliveries, notifying supervisor of discrepancies, transporting materials and items from receiving areas to designated location, operating a forklift, loading/unloading trucks, marking materials as needed, recording items distributed, processing packing slips and material requisition forms in Elations, filling and distributing orders, delivering orders to all of AcenTek’s Minnesota/Iowa facilities, maintaining inventory records, assisting in year-end inventory, communicating when inventory items are low, re-purposing equipment, communicating with all departments, and maintaining order, and cleanliness of warehouse. Monitored by the Warehouse Maintenance Supervisor by direct observation, data, reports, verbal communication. |
3. 10% |
Performs various maintenance/groundskeeping duties to provide safe conditions for employees and customers. Tasks may include but are not limited to mowing lawns, spraying weeds, clearing flower beds, cleaning pool vehicles, scheduling maintenance of pool vehicles; painting, changing light bulbs, plumbing, and reporting maintenance issues as identified; and assist with snow/ice removal. Monitored by the Warehouse Maintenance Supervisor by direct observation and verbal communication. |
4. 10% |
Perform general maintenance/repairs of facilities, equipment, and systems for the purpose of ensuring all AcenTek facilities are safe and operating at 100%. Tasks may include but are not limited to perform general plumbing; setting up or rearranging employee workstations; removing furniture, install/remove TV’s and white boards; dispose of furniture/office equipment; utilize various tools; perform ground repair such as fill sink holes or culvert repair; and pick up LP tanks. Monitored by the Warehouse Maintenance Supervisor via direct observation and verbal communication from all departments. |

Maintain a high standard of cleanliness while performing annual housekeeping/janitorial tasks for all AcenTek’s MN/IA facilities to ensure safe and sanitary conditions. Tasks may include but are not limited to stripping, waxing, and buffing floors, shampooing carpets, and washing windows. Monitored by the Warehouse Maintenance Supervisor by direct observation and communication from all departments. |
(Continually looks for new and improved ways of completing the above functions. Other tasks as assigned by supervisor will be performed in order to address unexpected situations or needs that may arise.)
RESPONSIBILITIES: This position includes full responsibility and accountability to the Maintenance Warehouse Supervisor for maintaining the cleanliness of facilities and organization of warehouse, along with performing minor repairs. Must be able to work independently and with a team. Must be able to problem solve with a team and obtain information from others. Must demonstrate good time management skills to plan and accomplish assigned work. |
LATITUDE: Most duties are assigned then performer plans and arranges tasks to complete duties. Problem solving is accomplished in conjunction with supervisor. Some decisions not effecting other departments can be made independently in accordance with company policy. All purchase requests are referred to supervisor. |
IMPACT OF POSITION: Errors easily detected and impact a single department or phase of organization. |
CUSTOMER SERVICE/INTERACTION: Monthly contact with customers. Daily phone, email, personal, and some written contact with employees of all departments. Monthly contact with vendors. |
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: |

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent required. |

EXPERIENCE: Prior experience maintaining/cleaning facilities, preferred. Prior HVAC, plumbing, carpentry experience is helpful. |

PHYSICAL: Frequent demonstration of manual dexterity, bending, carrying, climbing, squatting, twisting, and lifting is required. Must be able to lift to 75 pounds and occasionally lift/move 100 pounds or more. Must be physically able to climb ladders and crawl into awkward spaces. Prolonged periods of standing/walking. Specific vision abilities required are close vision. distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Occasional crawling, kneeling and visualizing computer screen required. |
